I was rummaging around in the shed and rediscovered on of these motherboards. From memory the serial ports would become in active after about 10 minutes. I had tried different i/o cards, ISA slots and PSUs but still the same issue. Seems heat related. Any one have any ideas? Thanks.

It's quite a nice board with 286-10 in it, with 1meg of ram on board by the looks.

There's a glitch in the matrix.
A founding member of the 286 appreciation society.
Apparently 32-bit is dead and nobody likes P4s.
Of course, as always, I'm open to correction...😉

No idea about the serial port, I can't say I ever had that problem.

A cursory google found one weird case where the user's fridge compressor would kick on and cause problems with their serial devices. Seems a long shot but maybe try unplugging other devices in your house and see if that alleviates the issues?
