I'm having trouble setting up the jumpers of 486 motherboard.

I have DC chips motherboard, but can't find any manual for it. The CPU I am installing is an Intel i486 DX2 A80486DX2-66. As I checked, this is a 5V CPU. I am afraid that I will damage the board or the CPU with wrong jumper settings. Are the jumpers set OK? How about those red jumpers (for voltage). Any help would be appreciated.

Think the reds also 5V for Intel DX2? But you wont damage anything when trying 3.3.
Also very low risk of damage when selecting wrong frequency for a short time...

I have the same:
search.php?keywords=PCCHIPS+CHIP+16+CHIP+18+9430-AS+9432-AS

As far as I remember it was running with the settings shown on the picture...

I've moved the red jumpers to 5V and it works. Thanks. Now I must find a nice heatsink.

Are there any other jumpers on the board I should be concerned about?

I dont know what do jumpers JP 6, JP7 and JP 8 mean? (see picture).

As I checked, this CPU has clock 2x, so I placed the jumper on JP 31 (2-3). I belive that is correct? (see picture)

Here is the doc you are looking for :

http://www.elhvb.com/mobokive/Archive/Oldman. … ips/jumpers.htm

It mentions the version w/ the black ISA slots, but the setting are the same on that model w/ white slots.

I need a vacation.
