A stinker in terms of monetary loss for Intel, yes. But not so much a stinker performance wise as long as RDRAM is used (even if it has no speed advantage over a BX with SDRAM). Admittedly, being only able to use two slots is not great, but you can still get up to 1GB by using 512MB modules which are no longer expensive. With i815 you can only have up to 512MB total, and with BX there is no official 133MHz support. If you have an i820 with 2x512MB RIMMs I'll gladly take it off your hands.
