I am worried about the vintage hardware I have in storage

It is stored in woodensheds without heating

i noticed that consoles like PlayStation 2 does not like being stored in that environment and a CRT monitor that I had stored on its own, had some weird picture issues... that might be fixable though

however, an old CRT TV of mine has never had any issues being stored this way

I guess when I finally get around to sorting all of it and getting it located how I want it, then I will need to let it all dry for a good long time and then begin testing what works and what doesnt

Main PC SPECS:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: Powercolor Red Devil Radeon RX 5700 XT
RAM: 8GB*4 Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz
Motherboard: ASUS Prime B450M-A
PSU: Corsair RM850

Store your stuff in a climate and humidity controlled environment. Storing outdoors only sheltered from rain isn't good. Extreme hot/cold cycles leads to cracked solder joints. Excess humidity oxidizes solder and rusts metal.

Sometimes you don't have much choice. My main advice is to store in a low humidity environment.

Secondary advice, an environment sealed from pests or rodents.

Tertiary advice, an environment away from the sun and heat.

Store it in a place equivalent to where you live. If you have a well insulated garage or attic, that's probably fine, if you ask me, but it really depends on where you live.

Store them like you would a gun.
No, seriously.
Don't put them in a place that gets too hot, or too humid, or has rapid temperature shifts that could cause condensation.
Also, consider gun storage bags like these:
https://www.amazon.com/ShieldPro-SafeCache-Gu … t/dp/B00EV3VTRA

They have desiccants and oxygen absorbents, and they work great for keeping rust conditions away.
Just put it in an anti-static bag, then in one of these and keep it in a cool, dry place and they should last a while.

Oh, also, remove any batteries if you intend on long-term storage.

Bit extreme, I wouldn't trust my kids messing round with my pc's 😉

As everyone has said if you can control the extremes then great.
I've got a bit too much to do that. For hardware I thinks valuable or fragile I keep in a container in my house, not ideal but at least in anti static bags i get from work.

For hardware I simply don't have the space for like old servers, things that aren't as fragile like cases or hardware that's easily replaced it goes to storage I cant do anything about the temperature but I do add some of those Silica gel packets you get with shoes and things to try and help with the moisture.
