Hi, this is my first post although I have read the forum for a long time.

I have bought an Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop for Windows 98 gaming and I am experiencing some problems (I have installed 98SE):

I can't turn the resolution to the native one 1400x1050. The maximum available is 1280x1024. I have installed Nvidia Detonator v82.69 driver from vogons drivers library.
I can't turn the laptop off, it stucks on shutdown screen and I have to press the button manually. I have installed all updates and shutdown supplement with no results.
The laptop only recognizes the 50% of graphic memory. When I bought the laptop, it came with the 32 megabyte geforce4 and system only recognized 16mb (OS and BIOS).I bought the 64 megabyte model thinking it was a graphics card problem, and only 32 megabytes are detected now. Checked the graphics card with Dell Diagnostics utility and no problems detected. The bios is updated to the last version available.

If anybody that have this laptop or similar model and can help me, it will be very appreciated. Thanks and regards from Spain.
