I have a few SE440BX-2 boards, and the one currently in use has the P13 BIOS. I recently acquired an 850MHz Coppermine Slot 1 CPU, which is recognized by the BIOS as an 866MHz P3.

I was curious what Sisoft Sandra 99 reported, and it did seem to report an accurate speed around 850MHz:

But it got the FSB speed all wrong, which then affected the speeds of the memory, AGP, PCI. I'm guessing these are just misreported figures rather than accurate readings because everything is working normally.

I'm thinking about updating to the P16 BIOS, but if everything is running fine and benchmarks appropriately (CPU is faster than a 550MHz Katmai using 3DMark99), then is there any problem with just leaving things as they are?
