Bought this nice NOS dual S5 motheboard with Neptune chipset and synchronous L2 cache. I want to build a Windows NT 3.1 SMP system.

Apparently it is from AST Premia GX P90 system.

Anyone has that system running?

Assuming it takes standard AT supply (at least the connector looks the same).

There is no video so I need to sort out the PCI riser card. Any idea if AST part 202755-001 (2xISA, 1x PCI) I have on order is going to work? I've seen several riser cards on eBay that have a similar slot.

AFAIK NT 3.10 does not support PCI so I suspect NT 4.00 SP6a would be a far better choice and easier to get running.

I know Martin has NT 4.00 SP6 running on his ASUS PCI/I-P54NP4 Dual Socket 5 Intel Pentium (P54C) 90MHz which also has the 430NX chipset.

Perhaps NT 3.51 then. Don't quite like Chicago UI 😀

NT 3.51 should be OK, but I think it's limited to about 9GB disks whereas NT 4.0 can handle 128 GB once it's patched.

Either way once you get it running I would be interested to know if my SIV utility reports it OK

My 2c on this matter: I just got one of these cards, and the riser in mine is a 202616-001. Unlike the risers referenced above, there's just empty slots on this one. In particular 2 PCI and 5 EISA slots. It looks like there might be room for a third PCI slot as well, but it's not soldered in.
