Hi,

does anyone know if a Shuttle HOT-591P will run a Rise MP6 CPU ?

i got both, but the board does not POST with MP6.
As far as i know the Chipset works, so it must be BIOS Issue?

Thanks

Matthias

Ok, at least you can set the CPU FSB to 95 which is what some Mp6 want.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP6
You can find the FSB/multiplier you need to set it for in there.

The manual for your board is here:
http://www.minuszerodegrees.net/manuals/Shutt … %20HOT-591P.pdf
Combined with the info from the wiki you should be able to set it properly. Are you using PC66 or PC100 SDRAM? If PC66 you may need to set the board to asynchronous and on 66 there.

All other components (video/power supply/memory) are known good? Is the board running on another CPU?

Hi,

other CPUs works fine, it gets Stuck during BIOS don`t note the POST Code yet, but i thing it has problems with Registers or something like this.
i use PC133 Memory and set 100Mhz FSB as intent on the CPU, also Voltage is correct.

Maybe i should try bpatcher

I also use PC133 @ 100MHz and it's fine. Exactly which DIMMs are they and do they support 100 MHz? Mine are as below and do.

Did you manage to get it going and if so what does CPUZ report for it please? On my system the CPU is running @ 200 MHz and CPUZ comes up with what look like random speeds in the range of about 133 to 266 MHz and it won't validate the system.
