Advantech backplane with 2xPICMG + 2xSBC = dual-processor?

So I've got Advantech industrial computer with PCA-6114P4 backplane - 8xISA + 4xPCI + 2xPICMG:

The attachment backplane.jpg is no longer available

and two PCA-6180 SBC cards:

The attachment sbc.jpg is no longer available

It's impossible to install both SBCs, as the spacing between PICMG slots isn't enough to accomodate CPU+fan, or even DIMM sticks.

So I'm wondering: what's the purpose of having two such slots?
Is it for dual-processor option, or for something else?
If it's for dual-processor, there should be some special SBC with all the elements on the opposite side, right?
What to look for?

In 2003, I voted in favour of joining the European Union. However, due to recent developments - especially the restrictions on cash usage - I'm hereby withdrawing my support. DOWN WITH THE EU!

no. you can only install a SBC card like that into one OR the other slot. They just let you pick which slot in case you have an abnormally large card.

SMP SBC cards like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Portwell-ACTI-688-R0 … KcAAOSwtSRdGLbk are rare and expensive.
