Thanks computerguy08, i will try to find a resistor according your specs and will post my results.

If you have others ideas of what component can be wrong on the board, and how to check it, feel free to tell me, would like to understand and learn !

Never thought about that, but I guess it's possible (if you never saw this board working properly, or better said, as expected). Who knows what oddities were implemented (illuminated power switch or things like that).
But I have a few boards from custom systems (Asus barebones, or HP SFFs) and their power-on headers work "the normal way".

This is a motherboard I bought "AS IS" so I had no idea whether it was working or not. I was hoping it was fully working, but...no luck,

Yes, there is no reason for a special acting power switch, i think too the problem is elsewhere.

Will try the resistor trick.
