Hello! I don't know whether this goes on old hardware or not. There's a program called Browservice that allows you to put your old network card to use, and allows you to browse modern web in old computers! I watched a video about it and it looked pretty nice.

Has anyone used it? Does it play nice?

Someone posted a Youtube video of it in use on a Raspberry Pi last week. It seems very similar to the Web Rendering Proxy (WRP) project, except Browservice only works on Linux whereas WRP works with Windows (with Chrome installed) as well.
