The idea is that the EEPROM 28C64 and associated components are optional, for those who already have IDE-XT ROM it would not be necessary.

However, this socket can also be used to reprogram 28C64 EEPROMs from MS / Dos. By the way, the socket will be slightly raised (with the pins not protruding from the opposite side of the PCB, so as not to disturb the input of CF cards from behind)

From the ATF16V8B, the desired I / O address can be configured for the IDE-XT, as well as the addressing of the EEPROM.

This board is inspired by Monotech's xt cf mini, which in turn is based on Sergey Kiselev's schematics:

If by # you mean the reference number of the CF connector, I have to tell you that I don't know. The fact is that I bought a large batch of units from a Chinese vendor and I got some connectors in my opinion, not very standard ... and now I have to use them anywhere.

First of all, they are of the reverse type, that in principle is good for this project because the footprint is on the back:

However, pinning does not keep the same order but in reverse as it seems to be in standard connectors. But mine, it also reverses the order of the top and bottom row of the CF ... I think it is not standard but it is what I have:

Perfect.

Once the project is consolidated and validated, I will publish the PCB schematics and design on my GitHub account, so if your CFs don't work, you can always modify the footprint and adapt the design to it ... having little space the routing becomes complicated.

Anyway, I have already ordered 5 PCBs with HASL finish for prototype, if your CF is valid I can send you one 😉

Mine yes but I was wrong with the inversion of the rows (it was already strange to me), the design of this prototype is garbage and I will have to design another.
