Well done! That's a pretty mammoth job - I bet you were seeing solder points in your sleep afterwards! 😁

At some point I have to revisit a homebrew Z80 backplane that I foolishly soldered several of the connectors on 180 degrees out of alignment... each one is a 96-pin DIN 41612 connector. I did 3 of them the wrong way around before I realised my mistake....

Oof good luck fixing all those joints. Just reading that gives me soldering ptsd 🤣

Putting the system back together. Forgot about the riser card! It has leaking caps, too! Replaced them with some tantalums I had laying around.

@kingcake, nice to see you also post it on facebook. At least I'm guessing it's you.

Right to repair is fundamental. You own it, you're allowed to fix it.

Is this board in UH19 yet? Before you put your whole system back together, we'd like a clear picture of the front and back of the board then.

Replace memory. If more than one (72 pin), take one out and rearrange. Or four (30 pin), you will have to change as a set.

Cheers,

You don't need to change the whole set of 30pin simms. Replacing one at a time will find the faulty stick.
