Not much to say. Looking to replace the old tantalum caps on my Asus P5S-VM with either newer ones or a different type of cap that's better, but don't know the spec of said caps.

Also was wondering what chips + SMDs I'd need to add the missing SDRAM video memory for the iGPU on this board.

Thanks!

You mean that yellow thing? Looks like a polymer fuse. There are some tantalums indeed below the chipset, but do you experience any problems with them? They can rarely fail in explosive way, but if they didn't fail i don't think they noticeably degrade over time.

Ah. I thought it was a tantalum. Could have sworn some tantalums looked like that...

Get the chips off the AIMM card and parts as well. Same chips for the iGPU.

You mean this? And I don't need anything else but the SDRAM chips? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGP_Inline_Memory_Module

They are indeed similar, but tantalums should have some numbers for voltage, capacity, and a strip for polarity marking.
There are also SMD tantalums, you have black ones around the chipset. But they can be orange/yellow too.
