we would like a photo of the motherboard 😀

Here is the picture with jumper settings for AMD DX2, but no POST with that setting. BIOS is 2.04.

😁 😁 😁

EDIT: Ok, it might be an DX2/50 only, so for 25MHz bus. But with a good cooler, it will likely run fine on 66MHz

Yes, as i said in first message, Intel is working well, but i am biggest AMD fanboy ever, and i want to create "AMD collection" for myself. Intel is for testing purposes only 😀

There are a bunch of cheap vrms on eBay right now.

Can You please send some links of VRMs, that will fit on this board?
Thanks in advance

Thank you for the picture, it is added to the page.

DOS utility used to extract BIOS images:

If you have time and energy, a bios backup would be welcome too 😀

I downloaded latest BIOS from http://www4.support.compaq.com/support_databa … ndex/epid41.htm
PC Hoarder Patrol sent me this link, and it worked!

I have the same board... With a AMD dx2-66. Jumper J3 is on by default...

Which model (NV8T, V8TGC, or older one DX2-66 and DXL2-66) ?
Thanks

AMD 486 DX2-66V16BGC

You're trying to boot rebadged 486DX4 WB. Of course it won't work.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

Hello again,
Honestly spoken I did not read your first post carefully.
I thought you were replacing a 486DX-50, but you are going to replace a 486DX2-50 with a 486DX2-66.

so the 66V16BGC is not working, I also think that it does not run with 5V.

But the whole thread is now making even less sense to me. You are really trying to find now a voltage adapter to make an upgrade from 50 to 66MHz?
When your orginal CPU will work (most likely) on 66MHz, too (?)
Hmm.
Most of the additional features of the newer CPU (level 1 cache write back mode) will not work anyway, if you manage to make it working, it will be for sure L1 WT mode.

No, i want to "upgrade" from Intel to AMD, not 66 from 50. 😀
