I don't see why if somebody is asking about a specific item that it would be a problem to have an eBay link to said specific item.

It is a lot easier and quicker to do this than to copy the eBay listing details and save / upload all the pictures from the sale to the forum.

Now if they are selling said item, then sure... but just asking if something is a good item if they are looking at it - where is the harm in that?

It's a thin line and we are cautious because of that one guy.
Together with the sale request in the same post, it triggered someone.
