Hey,

I have found an ATX power supply for sale from new from "old stock".
5$ + 9$ shipping

I've also noticed that it has -5v

I have a P5A that should come soon at home, so I'm wondering if it's a good deal or not. Otherwize I'll use a "real" new PSU but with -5v missing.

Thanks !

That's cheap enough that I'd probably buy it just to give it a shot and see what happens. Although maybe I'd hook up a couple of old hard drives or something as a test load and monitor the output voltages for a while before hooking it to anything I'm really attached to.

This looks like a total bottom of the barrel PSU, the kind I was using in 2003 because it came with my case and was all I could afford. Not saying it will blow up or anything but I'd still skip it.

Thanks guys. I don't have any PSU Tester. Seems there is some cheap on Amazon. Any recommendation ?
