I'm trying to build my own "Joystick Port to 2 Joysticks" splitter/cable, but I'm looking for an easy way to test it. I cannot find any good software to simply tell me if the sticks are moved or any ot the four buttons are pressed.

I'm not talking about a game, I need a kind of diagnosis program.
