As per the title, I have had some RAM in my collection that is perplexing. It’s 8MB in total, and googling gets me nowhere. The are Cubig LQW4M sticks, and they do not insert in to any SDRAM slots that I have available to me.

For one, they're not SDRAM. Those ram chips on board (HY514260B) are 60ns EDO chips, each being 256kx16, or 512KB. If I had to guess I'd say they're ECC/Buffered EDO sticks, for servers. That's why I would guess that mystery OKI AC-GMC-1 chip in the middle is there, for buffering. Do they have more than 4 ram chips on the back?

Old precedes antique.

Some info here, scroll down to "IDENTIFICATION OF 168-pin DIMM TYPES"

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

That they do. As far as I can tell, they were either for a Mac 4400, or a network server now that I have some idea of what they are.
