Hi guys!
I found a partially working motherboard which has missing element on it. Probably a voltage regulator. I'll be very happy to know what it is 😁
I attached a photo explaining which part is it.

Yes that is a Voltage regulator. Need someone who has that board to give you the exact part number.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Thank You Very Much! Time to repair it! 😀

But i got another question - does the LT1584CT have any other signs on the case? when I search it in the producers datasheet I see lots of different versions of this regulator under the same model number.
Please TheMobRules, can You give me exact model number, or every letter printed on the case of this element?
Thanks!

What you want is the plain LT1584CT, which is the adjustable version of the regulator. The other variants with suffixes such as -3.3, -3.38, -3.45 or -3.6 output a fixed voltage, but none of those will work here since it is probably used to generate the necessary 2.8V for MMX processors. Here's a link to the adjustable version on Digi-Key:
