Hey everyone,
I'm in the process of restoring an Acer AcerNote Light 356 laptop running Windows 95. The original HDD died so I replaced it. I managed to find some drivers through this one Vogons post from a few years ago (Drivers for Acer AcerNote Light 350P).

Now that I have the drivers, I would like to get my hands on the OEMLOGO.BMP and OEMINFO.INI files. Normally, I'd browse through my own archives but I don't have any. If anyone has them, please pm me or post them in this thread. I'd greatly appreciate your help.

Also sidenote, I'm new here. I actually created this account to post this message. If I posted it in the wrong section, just let me know.

Have a nice day,
Mercury

Welcome to vogons. Someone is bound to locate it.

If you have an idea what the bmp file looked like you could create you own in paintbrush or some other graphics creation/editing program.

There's a glitch in the matrix.

Of course, as always, I'm open to correction...😉

I've done that in the past with some other OEM logos but I haven't had much success with the Acer one. I know what it looks like and I have several SVG and PNG variations of it but I'd prefer to get an original one from an old HDD or dump of some kind.

What about grabbing the logo or even straight up recovering using one of the ACER recovery CD ISOs on archive.org?

v1.2 (1995) https://archive.org/details/acercprharddriver … dversion1.21995

Thanks for reminding me of those recovery disks, I completely forgot those things even existed. Despite those, I have found nothing in terms of the OEMLOGO or OEMINFO. My machine is already restored with all the drivers. I did find a .gif version of the logo but I don't know if it will translate well to a .bmp.

Thanks for the help though.
