On many of my older Win9x and XP systems have been using Music Match Jukebox (own the Pro license) for MP3 player because it has a very configurable layout and included Fraunhofer decoding which I found superior to all other MP3 decoders at that time. Does any one know of an equal from the late 1990's or early 2000's that has a similar configurable layout ? (not WinAmp, does not configure the same) ?

Do you mean skinnable? If so sonique was the other big player in the 9x days (winamps rival at the time). Far more skinnable than winamp. Usually had the same visualisations such as whitecap etc. In terms of playback quality, I personally never really noticed a difference?

The classic Winamp 5.666 or more classic good old Winamp 2.95. Still use them with all my Windozes from 95 to 7.

I am aroused about any X86 motherboard that has full functional ISA slot. I think i have problem. Not really into that original (Turbo) XT,286,386 and CGA/EGA stuff. So just a DOS nut.
PS. If I upload RAR, it is a 16-bit DOS RAR Version 2.50.

Those days I used Sonique too. Nice skins and visualization plugins.

An older Windows 9x/XP compatible version of Foobar 2K might be an option .

What version would suggest for 98SE and XP, those are my target OS. I see the older versions at foobar org but no descriptions
