Hi, new user here!

I might do a separate thread about this whole build project later.

So I recently bought Intel 8∕16 LAN Adapter for installing XT-IDE ROM onto it.

I burned the ide_386.bin into M27C256B-10F1 EPROM and then enabled the Boot ROM in address C800 with Softset.exe, then I tried booting, but no dice, I just get an error message saying "Operating system not found".

I googled around and found this topic where username Predator99 got 386 booting XT-IDE by modding the BIOS. So what I'm asking, since I can't PM is that if Predator99 or someone else could help me with this matter?

Thanks!

Had time to google around and found out that the binaries from https://www.xtideuniversalbios.org/binaries/r620/ don't have checksum byte at the end anymore. So I used auto-configuration in the XTIDECFG and then made a new copy with:

copy /b ide_386.bin+ide_386.bin+ide_386.bin+ide_386.bin ide_386_32k.bin

then burned that into a new 256kB EPROM and lo and behold it works!
