Hi! this is my first post on this forum. I am sorry for my bad english.

I have 3 XT-ide controllers that work without problems on various motherboards from XT to 486. This week I received an XT motherboard that, despite recognizing the XT-IDE (messages appear normally), when running at normal speed (turbo off ), my HD is not recognized correctly (even the name has strange characters) and with the turbo turned on, it doesn't recognize any HD at all.

I tested the equipment on other motherboards and with other XT-IDEs, I changed the bios on this motherboard and nothing made a difference.

Interestingly, I tested a floppy disk controller and a floppy disk drive and both worked and booted normally. I also tested a controller and a seagate RLL drive that I have for testing and these also worked flawlesslly, regardless if I have the motherboard at normal speed or turbo speed.

Does anyone have an idea of what might be going on or a hint of what I can check on the motherboard?
