I may have forgotten some. Not sure. I think a have a couple more AGP cards too, but they're too modern for me to remember what they are exactly.
I've had more cards in the past, but I sold off the ones that weren't interesting.

Well yes.
If one speaks strictly, VGAs are cards with ISA bus.
AGP are AGP, PCI graphics cards are PCI graphics cards.

Thus, after my clearout I have only two highly rare VGA cards left:
- Mylex GLI911
- Spea Mercury (the Spea Mercury are the only graphics cards that can do >= 100Hz refresh in all DOS text and graphics modes)

AGP cards:
- MX200
- GF 44oMX
- Vanta
- Quadro NVS280
- ATI Rage 128 Pro All-in-one
- ATI Radeon RV280
- Matrox G55

PCI cards:
- Trio 32V
- Virge DX
- Spea Mercury P64 and -V
- Quadro NVS280
- Mach 64
- Radeon HD4350
- SiS 6326
- ET6000

PCI-E:
- GF PCX 5750
the rest is not yet retro.
Most modern graphics card I have: Quadro K4000 in my main computer

Perhaps..
Could also be that it was an older pic of an existing collection. Please keep in mind that even just sorting a collection this size in a way that you can have them all feature in a single pic is one heck of a job. I can imagine not wanting to bother doing this every few years if there's been few new additions.
Sure, it could be fake for all we know but at least this account introduced us to it so imo it's not even that harmful if it is indeed a fake (and even then, why even bother faking something like that anyway?).

The ones I can remember:
XFX RX5700XT Thicc II
XFX RX5700XT Thicc III
Sapphire RX5700XT Pulse
EVGA RTX3060 XC Gaming
EVGA RTX2070 Super Blower (Blower replaced with Arctic Accelero Xtreme IV for obvious reasons, 🤣)
MSI RTX3070 Gaming X Trio
Dell Radeon R7 250 2GB
Vision Tek Radeon HD7750 1GB
3x Nvidia GeForce 7800 GTX
Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 AGP
Radeon 9600 AGP
Vision Tek Geforce 8400GS PCI 256MB
Asus GeForce 4 MX420 64MB
GeForce 3 Ti 500 (this model, not this card, was my card in college)
RIVA TNT2 M64 32MB
SiS 6326 AGP
2x AGP CAD cards of a model I don't recall from a lot of free 20+ year old workstations but they game in Windows and DOS too
Diamond Stealth II S220 PCI
Nvidia RIVA 128
Diamond Stealth 2MB PCI DRAM (the 4MB VRAM version was the card in the first PC I built in 1995. Built it around that card)
PNY GeForce FX5200
Boca CL-GD5429 VLB 1Mb
Fastware CL-GD4534 PCI 2MB
WD90C30-LR ISA 1MB
S3 Virge DX 86C325 2MB PCI
Trident TVGA9000 256kB ISA
ATI Rage 128 Pro GL AGP 16MB
ATI Fire MV 2200 PCI 64MB
2x Dell Radeon HD 6450 PCIe 1GB

I probably have a dozen more I just can't remember. I have a local shop that sells old video cards for as little as $5 and I am collecting so I can do some benchmark testing of late 2d cards through the first couple of generations of true modern GPUs, an example of which is the HD3850. This also doesn't include video cards in the half dozen laptops I own. 2 of those have 2d VGA accelerators, one has a Radeon iGPU and the others have modern 3d cards from within the last decade. Also, I have several old motherboards with integrated early 3D accelerators. I am pretty sure a couple of them have the SiS chip and one has Voodoo 3 graphics. Another has a S3 Virge chip.

why do people post on facebook about 'their' hardware, when a bit of google fu reveals it's not their hardware?
I do agree on the reuse of old photos.
Wasn't there another guy with an insane amount of gfx cards , like in the thousands ?
I recall seeing a photo of all the nvidia cards he had laid out in the form of the nvidia logo with him at the center of it.

quite a few impressive collections here!

i have less than many, most working in systems already and almost all of them modest cards

of the ones not in systems there are several old 2d pci cards, essentially spares for the one PC that would use them! a few spare agp cards and a few older pcie cards

generally they are too expensive to collect!

Is this true? O.0

Only reason I can think of is them doing that to artificially increase their status? (which to me seems really kinda silly, but with retro computing having become more 'hip' and knowing how sorry some people can be, I wouldn't be at all surprised)

I don't think I ever seen that pic.
I tried googling it, but couldn't find it because google polluted the search results with too much irrelevant search results and I couldn't be bothered to wade through all that before my 1st coffee of today xD

I wonder if, at such a scale and in a single pic, individual graphics cards could still be discernable? 😜

according to some it's for datamining the various groups of interest. those 'users' often have the same layout, posts and history of their accounts.
The one I've seen was on the vintage pc enthusiast group, or the retromicrocomputers, workstations etc.. group.
Some people started noticing and complaining and some mods even defended those fake accounts... very likely because it had a profile photo of a pretty woman.

the collector of gfx cards, I think I saw the photo or link on this forum... now to find it again sigh 🤣

Cheers! 😁

If I counted correctly, it's 16x38 rows making for an estimated total of 608 cards in the pic (I roughly swapped out the excess cards on the left with the holes left to the right).
That's very impressive!

For datamining seems plausible. Kinda odd for mods defending those accounts but I can imagine you'd want to be really sure before, like, banning someone over this. Or could also be that those mods were corrupt in some way? Who knows 😜
What may be obvious to one person may not be obvious to someone else.

I remember years ago there was some weird website which apparently copied many threads from Vogons for some reason and had added some stuff to it which appeared like conclusions. Seems like all was done automatically and though I found it weird at the time, I didn't really bother with it after having spend some time analyzing it with a matter of amazement of why someone would even bother with this.

But anyway, this is going off-topic a bit so I suggest we go back to people with actual graphics card collections for now 😜

the mods didn't really care that people were posting photos of other peoples accomplishments and claiming it as their own. They mostly got annoyed when people started complaining of the practice.
Kinda understandable, though not a very likeable stance, by me.
and agreed on that last one. 😁

Over 100. Closer to 200 I think. 72 I have indexed in the DB which I've been building since May, but that's only ~1/3 of the cards I have...

Personally I would have just swung the banhammer around, if only because letting this behavior continue invites more of the same behavior (and it opens the door more widely to even more unwanted behavior/worse behavior). Because from my perspective, there just isn't anything really positive that fakers add to a community and eventually it can be used to even skew a community completely like for instance hype up prices while making it seems legit etc. So yes, I would ban them. Ban them all!!!111 😁 😁 😁 😜
