Hello all,

Just got this mainboard from EBay for cheap.
It is totally new, from unsold stock I think.
I acquired that because of the advertised Apollo 133T chip on it.
It even came with a nice ALC100P onboard
Seems pretty good and well built but I have to admit that I never heard of EQS before.

Do you recognise it?

Some bios options after updating (not sure it is the latest one).
At least FSB can be raised to 166mhz.
No luck in voltage changes.

Don't remember ever having seen a pink heatsink like this before.
For some reason this board it reminds me a bit of contemporary Chaintech boards, also with some of the layout and some of the print on the PCB. EQS seems to be a legitimate motherboard manufacturer though, though it was apparently mostly budged stuff they made.

looks good. Try get single chip - sided ram sticks they have great latency scores especially if you plan to go 166mhz. (can be rare as gamers choice)
Common layout found in oem IBM clone white boxes though they have mostly intel chipsets and thats depressing at times so this is refreshing for me . 😀

First impressions:

For unknown reasons the card does not like my SL5QW Pentium III 1.1Ghz….
On my P2B-S it works like a charm.

Now I am installing XP with SL5QV, no issues so far.

Strange.

Bad news and bad news I think…
As said I flashed the bios retrieved on the wayback machine (p222.zip).
But it seems that it is definitely for another motherboard.
CpuZ reports 694X onboard instead of 694T….
And PC Partner as brand.

There is no other bios…

Help!

Fron the info I could find, that Eqs board may be a rebranded Pcpartner board.
Take a look at this page.
https://www.win3x.org/uh19/motherboards/?manu … ufacturerId=417

There are some boards with a similar layout.
Did you check the model of the chipset behind the cooler, is really a 649T.

It is definitely a pcpartner board.
On a snapshot of wayback machine there was pcpartner logo on the EQS site.
I tried to find the 694t similar pcpartner mainboard and bios without luck so far.

No marks anywhere on the pcb that could point me somewhere.
On a late wayback snapshot there is a message that all bioses have moved to pc partner and that I should seek for the rebranded board.

Obviously the link points to a list without pro 133T motherboards…

In any case I think I should search for the pc partner version of this mobo.

I am starting to think that everything is exactly like it should be.
Will be 100% sure when I will put a Tualatin on it (soon), but on EBay I found a pc partner board with 133T that is very similar to mine.
No indication on the model, but the bios is the same and There is an Everest screenshot that shows a 1400mhz tually on it.
