I used to play Falcon 3.0 quite a lot on a 286-16 & FPU. Don't remember any problems with high speed plane flipping...

How did it play? I might give it a go on my 0WS 286-20 w/287XL

I just watched HanJammer's 286 video yesterday and it's pretty bad on 12MHz. 20MHz should make it fairly playable I think. It runs fine on my 386SX-25.

This is all from memory... it run great 😁 But back then even 10fps would be grand 🤣 I have a plan on rebuilding my first PC - 286-16... if this ever happens, I'm sure trying it again 😉 For 16MHz it sure was fast (Octek Fox II board). But I had 287 from AMD which are usually the slowest around. Your setup looks very fine. Put some good VGA card in and it will rock. Also keep in mind I used PC speaker sound 😀
