Try dumping BIOS using "DUMPAT" program, it will generate a 1 meg file with the BIOS image at the bottom.

Woohoo - we have POST and boot to DOS!!!
Complete with a fake report of 256k Cache 😀
For whatever reason, the data at the end of the DUMPAT file is the same as the data using UNIFLASH -BASE FFFF0000. Might have had a bad flash?
Anyway - the dump looks completely different to the data at F0000 which to me looked correct - maybe this was the decompressed image?
Will run some tests and advise whether it is working reliably, and will post up a repackaged BIOS file.
Thank you so much - you have saved a board from being used as spare parts! Just need to replace the socket 3 ZIF now - has 8 broken fingers which are currently replaced by tiny balls of aluminium foil which I am sure will not stand the test of time 😀

Awesome. And thanks SSTV2 for the tip!
I find it quite unreliable and weird, for example the keyboard doesn't work if I insert 30pin simms.
Writing to disk in DOS can cause reboots unless I skip memory managers (still looking in to that).
And I do wonder how the cache thing works. Here I found some matches against my cache chips maybe some correlation in the chipset;

The BIOS works perfectly - thanks for all your work getting this to me.
As promised, please find a dump of the BIOS attached.
Cheers

Right. I have added this bios here:
https://www.ultimateretro.net/en/motherboards/10146

Can either of you confirm the Edom/Wintech MV045 settings make sense for this board too?
https://www.ultimateretro.net/en/motherboards/2045

Because then I will post them on the Asaki page as well.

The jumpers on the Askai board are labelled with different numbers to that Edom one. Which is noticeable in the photos I think. I haven't checked each one yet.

I was going to provide this and post code etc in Discord. Shout if you need anything, here or there.

On closer inspection the jumpers are the same (just labels moved or missing near JP14).

With one exception JP10 and JP11 exist on my Asaki. There are spaces for both these on the Edom too.

Agree they look identical except for some missing jumpers. Spaces for them on MV045 and pins on Asaki...

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

I have changed the Notes to: "Is clone of MV045". At some point will have to transfer the MTL settings manual to this page. On the to-do list (that is now nearing 7 metres I think....)
