Note: This post has been edited to include the ID0 fix on that patch (20230926 1730 UTC).

There were some patches supplied by mkarcher to the rare Adaptec EISA & VLB controllers.
The patch enables them to support disks larger than 8 GB.
They were tested with a 2740W and a 2842VL. There is no BIOS image for the 2840A/2842A.

You need the BIOS but also the ASPI7DOS.SYS to achieve full speed under DOS.
I've also added the latest but non patched version of the ASPI4DOS.SYS 3.35 that runs with the 1542B.

This files are intended to be used by retro computer enthusiasts but not for commercial use.
There is no warranty, use them on your own risk.

Oh, I need to send you BIOS from my 2842VL - it probably has some different revision (maybe something OEM-related) so uses BIOS v 2.0. I had to create my own patch based on mkarcher's work and my card's BIOS because his one didn't work on my board. And I see he did some update, so I need to patch it again.
