Also you can't use one module, due to 16-bit data bus width per module, similar to how Pentium SIMM modules were used.

That's also true, I thought at least 2 modules were used.

I am aware, when I say using "one or two modules", I mean one RIMM and one C-RIMM per module. All possible combinations on the most probable contender, the i840 result in a non-POST.

Here, the density of bits per memory chip ( 576 Mb per chip in the case of ECC) is the issue as it is not being detected by the Intel chipsets.
