Does anyone know what is the value of a C502 smd capacitor on a Voodoo 5 5500 AGP card? According to this site http://falconfly.vogonswiki.com/cgi-bin/yabb2 … ?num=1347523913 the value of C502 shold be 1.5 uF, but is not confirmed. The card itself however works, but I would like to have it in the best condition as it could be.

OK, so I have soldered a capacitor on the card. When I searched a little bit more, I found this site where it was advised for a C502 capacitor to use 1,3 uF 12V https://hardforum.com/threads/3dfx-voodoo-5-5 … acitor.1999240/

However when I compared "solder footprints" of a previous capacitor, I noticed that it has to be bigger than the others, which have 0603 size, so I went for size 0805, and it fitted right in. I checked the leads on a capacitor when the card was working, and I got 11.25V. In my opinion, also 16V or 25V SMD capacitor could be used.

That's a good soldering job, probably wasn't easy. Well done! Let's hope the card will live on for long. 😀
