Does anyone know if this card is usable in Windows (Win9x)?

As you can (with driver hacks) use the PC version in a Mac, I'm sure that with an inf mod of the PC drivers you could use the Mac version on PC…

If a standard PCI card you should be able to Mod/edit/hack the Windows driver *.inf by adding what Windows see as the Hardware ID. Since it does not have a BIOS chip (like Mac Video or some Mac SCSI) it should be very easy.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Are windows inf files just plain text files?

Yes, they’ll open right up in Notepad. Plenty of guides out there for adding PID and VID values to Win9x INF files. Typically for video cards, but the concept is the same. Get the correct hardware IDs out of device manager that Windows is reporting for the sound card and add them to the INF.
