Hi,

I have an old Fujitsu Stylistic 1200, unfortunately it is missing the HDD caddy together with the IDE ribbon that seems have a proprietary connector on the mb side.
I would like to find a way to boot this machine. I ordered a PCMCIA Adapter + CF card to try booting from the CF.
The BIOS is Pheonix and it has no Boot from PCMCIA option so I'm not very optimistic.

The second option would be to try to find a IDE ribbon or maybe create one somehow.
My questions are:
- That proprietary(?) connector looks like something standard ? If yes, what's the name ?
- Is there a company that creates custom ribbons/connectors maybe something like PCBWay ?

Thank you

Maybe the Hirose FX8 series: https://uk.farnell.com/hirose-hrs/fx8-40p-sv- … -6mm/dp/2498623
If you can get some dimensions of the connector then you might be able to check to see if it matches. Looking around then it looks like cables might exist: http://www.cmyhub.com/proinfo/Fujitsu-Stylist … able_10399.aspx (no idea if they're reliable or not).

Thank you so much... Before I searched for the cable using 'Fujitsu Stylistic 1200 IDE cable' and this keywords did not get me any good results 'Fujitsu Stylistic 1200 HDD cable' is better 😀.

Anyway I tried to get it from that web site but it seems that it is dead. Paypal is not working and their ebay account has some 'Seller not shipped the item' from one year ago.

I can't PM you because I'm new to this forum and there are some restrictions (anti-spam).

How else I can contact you ?

Thank you
