Hi alls
Following my topic about Socket7 CPUs (Socket 7 200MHz test), I wanted to try same benchmarks on a more modern (!) platform, as I think it's the last socket that have handled CPUs form differents manufacturer.
Mainboard is an Asus TUV4X, 64 MB PC133 SDRAM, same ATI Rage 128 Pro. I used the Dosbench compilation from PhilsComputerLab.
Unfortunately, I cannot run my Celeron 300A on this board (I hope my BE6-II is still working, so I could add more results to this bench with slot 1 CPUs).
Here are the results :
What we can see, is the C3 is a very weak CPU, @500 MHz it barely beats best Socket 7 CPUs @ 200 Mhz. Pentium III S is a very nice performer, compared clock to clock to the Coppermine (the double amount of cache ?).
Bye
