I bought a Gotek Floppy emulator on eBay. This is my first time trying one of these. I'm not having any luck. I wonder if there is something obvious that I'm missing.

I hooked the drive up. I formatted a 256MB USB thumb drive the same way PhilsComputerLab did in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taFP1J_lZBI). Incidentally, my Gotek model looks just like the one in Phil's video. I wrote about 40 images to the drive.

When I start up my PC, the display reads 00.0. and I can't cycle through any of the disks on the USB drive using the two buttons on the face of the drive.

I also read that you can hold the two buttons down when you power on and it will format the thumb drive. I tried doing this just to see if I could at least get to the point where I could cycle through disks. All this does is cycle through some codes on the display (o01 21c f01).

Is there something obvious that I'm missing? I know Phil's video is 7 years old. Has something changed that makes that tutorial obsolete?
