So as I promised, I am presenting you the first part of my collection... And good thing I did this today, because I discovered thing I did not know and some corrosion that would in time probably go unnoticed and would ruin another motherboard. So let's start with a mock up... I had this motherboard that is like brand new and needed a case to put it in and this case just got empty because I took out a pentium 1 to fix. But in the future I think I will find her a better home (and by home I mean case).

The specs for the 286_mock are:
- Shuttle HOT 205B motherboard with AMD 286/16MHz and 640KB of RAM on board, in search of some SIPP modules
- Tseng Labs ET4000AX graphics
- HMC ide controller
- Panasonic JU2357A606P 3,5" floppy drive *
- USDrives CD-rom *

*not going to be a part of the final build

Next one is the 286_fatty:
- CDTek GH286 G2 II motherboard with a 286/16MHz (not sure still about that one, the PCB color is different)
- Trident TVGA8900C graphics
- UM8388 ide controller
- Alps DF354H090F 3,5" floppy drive
- Teac FD55GFP 5,25" floppy drive
- Goldstar GM16c450 Serial and parallel controller

Today I discovered this one still has the barrel battery inside (though not the original) and the IDE controller is seriously damaged by the corrosion of the last battery... Will need some TLC soon...

And the last one, for today at least is the 386_40:
- J-Bond A340C-H motherboard with a 386/40MHz and 128KB of cache and 8MB of RAM
- Quadtel TVGA9000 graphics
- Winbond W83757F ide controller
- Teac D359TS 3,5" floppy drive
- Teac FD55GFR 5,25" floppy drive
- Mitsumi CRMC-FX810T CD-ROM 8x
- CF to IDE adapter and 128MB
- 3COM 3c509b-TPC ethernet card
- Creative Labs Soundblaster CT2290

That one is my most favourite I guess, since it is the closest to my first PC, but still needs some tweaks and pieces to get close to the original (case, sound blaster kit with 4x cdrom,...)

This is it for part 1, in the next part I will post some photos of my 486s which are mostly work in progress...

The 286 with glorious ET4000, and the 386 with poor TVGA9000 ?
Ugly 😜

Nie tylko, jak widzicie, w tym trudność, że nie zdołacie wejść na moją górę, lecz i w tym, że ja do was cały zejść nie mogę, gdyż schodząc, gubię po drodze to, co miałem donieść.

Well the glorious et4000 is quite a problem with some games so I decided not to use it in the 386, but the main reason is I want to build a machine that gets as close as possible to my first pc... 😉

Not at the moment, but I do have some old drives that may go in there, an ST-157A with whopping 45MB of space 😅
