I ordered an old "for parts" laptop on eBay and found this little gem inside. It serves practical use, as I already have a large collection of CompactFlash cards and adapters, but it's a lovely find for my collection. Although I can't think of a good use for it.

Does anyone recognize what the SSS branded controller chip is? I couldn't find anything when googling the part numbers on it.
