I tried to play Carmageddon (win version) on Windows 98 with an analogue gameport joystick. Unfortunately it is practically impossible, because the joystick is way too sensitive side to side.

Calibrating changes nothing. I can only make it more sensitive by not extending it fully during calibration not less. When not calibrated, the center is wrong...

Is there some software for windows 98 that can change sensitivity settings for an analogue game-port joystick? It seems windows saves its calibration data in the registry, but the format is not obvious so I can't think how to change it by hand.
