Hi all,

I found a Beltron LCD-88 in awesome shape and overal condition.
I tried googling for some more details and found this page: https://classictech.wordpress.com/computer-co … -angeles-calif/

It has 640kb ram, 1x 5.25" floppy and a harddisk of x mb (didnt check).
Also it has some extention cards in it, like BNC networking.
It's situated in a luxurious leather suitcase; must have been quite the machine back in the days! (1988)

I have two questions/requests, of which I hope it is okay to raise:

1) I am looking for someone who would be able and willing to provide me with the install disks of DOS 3.30 on 5.25" 360kb floppies.
I am located in The Netherlands. Naturally, I will be compensating you for materials, time and shipping. Are you willing and able to bring this beauty back to a fresh new life? Please let me know! 😁

2) I could find very little on this machine, other than the link I provided. Does anyone know anything more about these machines? Also, how rare/valuable would such a machine be? I have 0 clue, so keen on learning a bit more!

Thanks in advance!

oh and if appreciated, surely I can post some pics 😁

Still relatively new, but spending too much time on retro already.. 😀

Ok, meanwhile I managed to do a fresh msdos 3.30 install..
Still looking for mroe info on the machine though. Like does anyone have any documentation on this machine? Is the suitcase original or retrofit?
Is this machine at all anything special/rare/valueable or not at all?

What do the people on tweakers tell you ?
and have you tried contacting the homecomputermuseum https://www.homecomputermuseum.nl/ ? They might know something.

Right to repair is fundamental. You own it, you're allowed to fix it.

Didnt see your 1st post. Very nice and interesting PC indeed.

The drivers for the network seems to have been on the hard disk, hope you made a backup before formatting it. I guess its a standard NE1000/NE2000 card however.

You should open it and take a look whats inside. You can install ISA cards so you dont need to rely on floppies. I would add a CF-Adapter or connect it to your network to put software on it.

A google image search for your model appears to reveal a bunch of the same things sold under different names. That could open up your research - don't forget to search archive.org for model names too.
