Tried this GPU, but I got 1 Long beep + 3 short beeps :[ Yeah, I know that it's about GPU detection. Is it possible to investigate further? AGP port incompatibility maybe?

Does the card work in any computer ?

Yeah nearly all the Google images show a 1.5v only slot, plus since you mentioned it: it does not have the full compliment of onboard parts, many missing Caps,VRegs and others compared to most (many spaces empty compared to VGA Museum)

It is very likely due to a bus frequency issue between the agp and cpu.

I encountered a similar problem with a 9800xt and an MSI socket A board which I ended up replacing with a 6800gt

as written above, the 9600 is a 1.5V only card (AGP 4x/8x). BX - 3.3V - AGP 1.0 (2x).
If you're lucky, the video card may be alive.

9800 - power hungry card, with powering GPU from 5V and ... 3.3V (two-phase operation whith current sharing control).
Works normally only with native ATX MB, not on combined AT/ATX boards.
Like CUBx-E, but not CUbX

Technically, 9600 is not AGP 1.5v only card and can work with 3.3v signal, just like any other R3xx chip. Original ATi design just didn't bother with compatibility, avoiding a lot of angry customers with AT boards and horrible early AGP chipsets, which still were somewhat common. But some third-party designs with external power connection (just like on GeForce FX ultra cards) will work fine.

When you combine 9600XT with such poor cost cut-down PCB without external power - problems are bound to happen.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.
