I have found a (to me) unknown 3D design that intrigues me.
It has similarities to the #9 T2R architecture and was used in the AVID EDC4 card.
This card number was also used with the #9 T2R chipset.
The main difference between these cards is that the Peritek Borealis 3D card uses SDRAM and has no external RAMDAC.
Other embedded versions of the Borealis 3D chip came with 100 MHz SGRAM (synchronous to the GPU).
26/32 MB Memory (SDRAM or SGRAM)
250 MHz RAMDAC
100 MHz clock
8K of texture cache
430 MFlop/s setupu engine
128 bit memory interface
32 bit Z-buffer
OpenGL 1.1
DirectX 7
