After some quick testing:
- drivers for DOS and Win 3 are installed
- works with some games that allow SB

Can't make it work with other games...

* Commander Keen works.
* Doom / 2
* Duke 3D (set 8 bit and 16 bit dma in bios)

Basically you need to set in BIOS IRQ and DMI addressed

Have you tried Unisound? It should support this Opti 928 card.

BTW, I'm uploading my drivers, don't know if they're the same.

Mine are from 1994, yours 1995/6. Definitely will try these.

Thanks!

Any further info on this card?
By the looks of it it seems to be OPL3 equipped (LF944).

928 has quite poor SB compatibility from my experience, I couldn't get many games to work with it and stereo never worked either in any game. The chip simply has many flaws, and its successor 929 fixes much of them. Later chips like 930 are much more competitive.

^ can confirm the above, I used a 928 soundcard in the 90s - so many weird issues...

No. I wanted to put it in a Pentium-class board to test it but I totally forgot.
I have checklist to keep track of this stuff. Guess it's time to make it cut the queue.

I think I'll just test it a bit more and if not satisfying just box it.
No need to die going after a bad model.
