Hi all,

I was given an ASROCK 939A8X-M motherboard with an Athlon 64 3000+ and decided to "upgrade" my "fastest" Win98 rig. This is an Athlon XP 2000+ on a Gigabyte GA-7VA.

I'm using an USB Logitech keyboard, keyboard was working fine both in real dos mode and in Windows 98 with the Athlon XP 2000+

After upgrading everything seemed fine except the keyboard mapping, letters are OK but symbols don't match the keyboard layout, if I plug in a PS2 keyboard everything is fine. It seems like some kind of incompatibility with legacy USB mode. Has anyone faced a similar issue and found a solution?

The other issue that I'm finding is an EMM386 problem, for this I have found a possible workaround in the forum emm386.exe and ems memory

I guess that XP 2000+ is more than enough for DOS/Win98 so I would simply "abort" the "upgrade" 😀. I liked the idea of having SATA ports but I can live with adapters.
