Hi, what's the meaning of the Message "No record found cylinder 147, head 1, sector 24" while "initializing cylinder 147, head 1. ESC to cancel" in western digital disk Manager Version 6.03a (c) ontrack 1985-1995 during Low Level Format?
It comes on nearly every sector. Maybe 15-20 of 26 each head per cylinder, despite setting other values for interleave (1-7).
I'm currently trying to format a Seagate ST-238R RLL hard Disk, because the computer doesn't recognize the disk and throws a hard Disk error message. Either press F1 to continue or F2 to enter BIOS Setup. I already gave in the exact CHS and WPC and LZ values.
I think, the actuator might be defective. Or the head isn't able to write and magnetize the platters. Because a reading verification passes through, but at initializing llfmt it gets write errors. The controller works with a NEC D5126. It's a wd1006V-MM2 in my Unisys pw² 500 16A 386sx.

Also other llfmt tools like sgatfmt3, Unisys llfmt or optune are failing.
