Howdy! ,
Here is a Lone Star post , where :
- Texas Instruments is main topic to focus on, so we can list our product from the collections we have!

My -Ti TexasInstruments TravelMate 4000 WinSX .cc 1990 Laptop/Notebook 486SX/16 Megahertz - (may be a prototype eary 1990 edition or late 1989 - some parts are posted 89 , no SN , so not sure.)
Made in U.S.A.
Not working currently ( got a overvolt from a makeshift poweradapter a few years back).

The first 486 PC wasn't available until late 1989.
The 486SX didn't come out until 1991 (the 16MHz part wasn't available until September).
More than likely the laptop is from late '91 or early '92.

My friend's uncle had the 386SX version of this laptop in 1992. It was the first time I'd ever seen Windows 3.1, and I was really impressed with it (especially the monochrome screen). The tiny trackball mouse on the other hand was completely awful.

Nice , maybe snap a picture of a CPU if you wish one day. (Mine IS as old as I sayed in first post , I will re-take photos when I open-it up).

I should have some TI CPUs in my collection. No full Ti systems. And I might indeed still have an old Ti calculator somewhere, but I'm not sure about the latter.
