I found a rather nice, sturdy beige ATX case that I want to use for a build but because I'm an often very unlucky person, all the front panel headers are cut off about halfway up the wires. How hard would it be to rewire these headers so I can actually use the case? I've never done anything like this before so I only vaguely know what I need (wire, those black plastic terminals, a tool to crimp said terminals onto the wires).

I'd say it's a good place to start. Your basically just practicing striping wire (hate that job) and crimping. All good skills to have and pretty risk free. and testing it'll either work or not. no need to troubleshoot 1/2 working issues.

I'm still not confident in replacing motherboard components like caps, etc. my soldering skills are terrible, but something like this I'd happily take on.
