JFYI: Interesting find

Mr.BIOS v.1.65 for 286 motherboard from 1994:
https://theretroweb.com/bios/?chipsetId=213
(see ITT CORPORATION XTRA/PROFESSIONAL SERIES 400 motherboard)

This BIOS should run for most of non-chipset 286 motherboards (DTK and may be IBM 5170) and "featureless" old chipsets:
Chips & Technologies CS8220
VLSI VL82C100
SUNTAC 62xxx
e.t.c.

Requires 2 x 27256 EEPROM sockets and 64Kb address decode (segment F000:0000)

Features:
- IDE autodetect
- No 504Mb and 2G IDE barriers
- 4 floppies
- ???

P.S. further reading:

How about a MR-BIOS ROM file repository?

I tried the generic 286 MR BIOS a while ago on my VL82C100 based system. It worked perfectly fine in DOS but would crash the system upon loading win 3.11 in standard mode. I reverted back to AMIBIOS and windows immediately started working again
