Does anyone know how I can identify this chip? I found another thread which talks about how to get Device ID and that showed C2 1A. It's an AMIBIOS from a PCChips M530 motherboard. https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/pcchip … -m530#downloads

If it is pcchips, then they are known (renowned?) for using non standard ROMs for the bios.

It is almost certainly a mask ROM and not an (e)EPROM or similar. I have a couple of pcchips 386 and 486 boards and they are all the same - a nonstandard mask ROM that cannot be read by my tl866.

"Winbond 29C010 or SST 29EE010 or compatible ships should work very well with the S-type Bios on these boards. I'm not sure an Intel chip will work on these boards - I've never seen them on those boards or heard from them being installed on these boards.
Many of these i430 VX series Pcchips boards hat the well known H.T. chips which in turn were relabeled Macronix 28F1000PPC chips"

After watching many YouTube videos about older computer hardware, YouTube began recommending videos about trains - are they trying to tell me something?
