I would like to modify a beige bay cover, either 5.25 or 3.5 to add 15pin DBSub port for analog joystick and turbo display.

What would be the cleanest way to cut into the cover and create clean and straight cutouts? Especially for the turbo display since it won't have any border that can overlap with the cutout. Should I use a coping saw, knife/blade, something else?

Thank you.

If you have an old tip to sacrifice, a soldering iron set to ~200 deg C is awesome for that kind of jobs.

Otherwise I'd also use a jeweler's or coping saw, leaving some margins, and do the finishing touches with needle files.
