Hi,

I am looking for CardSoft for Windows 3.1.
There are threads on here but the Win3.x software is CardView. And the CardSoft version is for DOS.
Even the one on Archieve.org is the DOS version of CardSoft.

I am hoping that it will enable the CardBus (PCMCIA) slots on my Dell D800.

Cheers.
Craig

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

That is the one I have.
When I run CardView, it say's that I need CardSoft for windows.

I am about to load the DOS drivers and see if that makes a difference.

You need the complete SystemSoft CardWorks package for DOS/Windows 3.1x. These disks aren't universal though as you need the correct card and socket services driver for your laptop's PCMCIA controller. Given that the Latitude D800 is from the XP era, there is likely no driver that works.

EDIT: Looks like the software is still actively developed: https://www.tssc.de/

There is likely a driver in there. Give the demo for DOS a shot. The release notes mentions the D800 as having support added.
